From grass-roots

beginnings.

My journey as a conservation storyteller is guided by the belief that a single image, a well-crafted narrative, or a poignant scene in a film can inspire individuals, communities, and even nations to action. It's about conveying the urgency of our environmental crises while igniting the spark of hope that fuels change. It's about reminding humanity of our responsibility as stewards of this planet and our duty to preserve it for future generations.

Eliya's local contributions are equally impactful. He serves as a Director of Photography and Cinematographer at Ngoteya Wild and co-founded the Tanzania Wildlife Media Association (TaWiMa) in 2019. Through TaWiMa, he coordinates wildlife photography internships, visual storytelling workshops, and impactful campaigns within his community.
